Our community at Punta Santiago, Humacao was severely hit by hurricane Maria. Some of our facilities have suffered substantial damage. Nevertheless, P.E.C.E.S. is working with several foundations and first-response organizations to provide relief services to our neighbors and to communities we already serve throuhout the eastern region of Puerto Rico. Our main efforts, though, will be aimed at community development initiatives that will spear economic growth, long-term support and education, and community sustainability.
We appreciate all donations of canned food, medicines and water, and will distribute those to all in need with the help of our allies. But we ask you to consider a monetary donation, which will enable us to tend other needs: buy fuel, contract local construction workers and, specially, implement community development projects. Until we are able to set a special section on our website for this, please feel free to use our Donate Now button, which will take you to our PayPal account. Remember that we are a 501(c)3 NGO, for tax return purposes.
